At age six I could sniff out a baby three Aisles away in a store...

and by eight I thought I’d like to be an Obstetrician. My passion for “all things baby” continued and while I eventually pursued an education in accounting (what was I thinking??) I eventually left to follow my true passion and became a full time mother. From the moment I found out I was pregnant with that first precious bundle I began to study pregnancy and birth voraciously! Nine births later (yes, you read that right, nine! Yes, all with the same husband. Yes we know what causes it…) I know a few things about labour and birth. I have had drug free deliveries and one epidural birth, delivered one Frank breech naturally, one precipitous birth, four inductions, delivered in large city hospitals and small rural hospitals, and almost one in the car! I’ve had 30 hour labour, 1 hour labour, and everything in between. I have a passion (and great compassion!) for women in labour and the whole process of bringing a baby into the world as well as establishing strong families. I’ve been on the adventure of marriage for 29 years with Trevor and loving my nine babies for 26 years. And they’re not really babies anymore!!
