At age six I could sniff out a baby three Aisles away in a store...

And by eight I thought I’d like to be an Obstetrician. My passion for “all things baby” continued and while I decided to pursue an education in accounting (what was I thinking??) I eventually left to follow my true passion and became a full-time mother.

From the moment I found out I was pregnant with that first precious bundle I began to study pregnancy and birth voraciously! Nine births later (yes, you read that right, nine! Yes, all with the same husband. Yes we know what causes it…) I know a few things about labour and birth. I have had drug-free deliveries and one epidural birth, delivered one Frank breech naturally, one precipitous birth, four inductions, delivered in large city hospitals and small rural hospitals, and almost one in the car! I’ve had 30-hour labour, 1-hour labour, and everything in between.

In 2016 I began my career as a Labour & Birth Doula, then quickly added Postpartum Doula to my qualifications. I’ve trained with Stillbirthday as a Bereavement Doula, certified as a Childbirth Educator, and also added Body Ready Method Pro to my professional endeavors. I’ve done my own deep, personal work to be able to prioritize what really matters - authenticity, humility, and connection. I have a very high value for the sacred journey of birth and the connection and support that protects the beauty of that experience. I bring all of who I am to my role to help create a relationship that’s honest, nurturing and transformative.
